Neices

I got to see my neices today. They're so adorable and are growing so fast. I haven't seen Harlee' much since she was first born (March 10, 2003), and everytime I do see her I'm amazed at how fast she's growing. She's a gorgeous child.

I saw Riley (her sister) for the first time today. She was born March 11, 2005. and almost died. They have 8 minutes to make a baby breathe after it's born before they announce it dead, and she almost didn't breath. She was born black as well, but God had other plans for her, and she lived. Thank you God.

Anyway, I got to spend about 5 hours with them and I loved and took advantage of every moment. Harlee' and me played, and I helped her eat her first bowl of corn pops, while holding Riley and patting her tooshy to get her to go to sleep. It was so sweet.

I'd have to say the highlight of the day was when I was patting the baby to sleep, her head was on my shoulder, and I looked over and she instantly got this huge grin on her face and smiled so huge for such a long time. It almost made me cry. To think that this baby who almost didn't live is my neice, and that her and I instantly could love each other so much. It's so crazy, but great.
